Step 1: Turmeric paste
INGREDIENTS:
– 1/4 cup of turmeric powder
– 1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper
– 1/2 cup of filtered water
PREPARATION:
Place all the ingredients into a sauce pan and cook over medium-heat, stirring often. Stir until the mixture becomes thick and paste like, it shouldn’t take long. Allow the mixture to cool and then store in the refrigerator.
Step 2: “Gold milk”
INGREDIENTS:
– 1 cup of almond milk (hemp or coconut milk is also a good option)
– 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
– 1/4 teaspoon or more of turmeric paste
– Honey
PREPARATION:
Mix all ingredients except the honey in a pot for cooking. Place the pot over medium heat. Stir constantly, without letting it boil. Add honey at the end for taste.
